What:
Reno Toy Storage and Ultimate Marine Service have made arrangements with the Reno and Lake Tahoe Divisions of the Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer our 1st Annual Coast Guard Safety Check Day. This should be a fun time for you and the family. BJ’s BBQ may be providing Pulled Pork Sandwiches and goodies, weather permitting. There may be a surprise visit from “Bobby” the boat, provided by NDOW.

The purpose of this safety check is to make sure that you, your family and your boat are all safe when on the water. The Coast Guard Vessel Examiners will be checking for things like current Fire Extinguishers, do you have the right life vest, and navigation lighting. We have posted on our web site, www.renotoystorage.com, the “Vessel Safety Check” sheet for you to reference before you come to our facility. In all cases, the registered owner of the boat, and the boat, must be present. If you store your boat with us, we will have access to it for you and the Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel. Download the VSC Sheet from our web site, fill out the information required, and be ready for a fun and safe time on the lakes this summer.

In addition to the Vessel Exam, Ultimate Marine Service will be offering Aquatic Invasive Species Examinations. The will be a charge for this, but this will speed up the process at the boat ramp for you. Having this inspection done ahead of time will give you a band that will be attached to your boat so you can bypass all the other people waiting to be inspected at the ramp for Lake Tahoe and other lakes that have adopted the AIS Inspection Policy.
